Sowing Instructions:
Sow seeds indoors from February to April in trays or pots filled with moist, well-drained compost. Scatter seeds thinly on the surface, cover lightly, and maintain a temperature of 18–22°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost.

Sow outdoors from April to June directly into well-prepared soil. Rake to a fine tilth, sow thinly in rows, and cover lightly. Water gently and keep soil moist during germination.

Thin or transplant seedlings to 30–80 cm apart depending on the variety. Leafy crops like lettuce and chicory can be spaced 20–30 cm apart, while larger fruiting plants like squash and aubergine need more room to thrive.

Most varieties prefer full sun and regular watering. Feed with a balanced organic fertiliser during the growing season to encourage strong growth and flavourful harvests. Squash and courgettes benefit from rich soil and consistent moisture, while aubergines and chillies thrive in warm, sheltered spots or greenhouses.
This collection is ideal for gardeners who love Mediterranean cooking and want to grow their own fresh ingredients. Whether you're planting in raised beds, containers, or polytunnels, these Italian favourites will bring authentic flavour and rustic charm to your summer harvest.
