Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors: Sow seeds from February to April in seed trays or pots filled with fine compost. Cover lightly, keep moist, and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle.

 

Planting Out: After the last frost, harden off plants and transplant to their final position in a greenhouse or sunny, sheltered outdoor spot. Support with stakes or strings, and pinch out side shoots regularly. Space plants 45–60 cm apart.

 

Harvesting: Pick fruits when fully ripe for the best flavour. Regular harvesting encourages further fruiting.
