Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from February to April in seed trays or small pots filled with fine seed compost. Cover lightly with compost and maintain a temperature of 18-21°C until germination.

 

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and grow on in a bright, frost-free location. Harden off plants before planting out into their final positions after the last frost. Space plants 45-60 cm apart, with rows 75 cm apart, ensuring adequate airflow.

 

Pinch out side shoots regularly to encourage upward growth, and water consistently to prevent splitting. Feed weekly with a tomato fertiliser once flowers appear for the best results.
