This hardy evergreen shrub has tiny aromatic leaves with small pink flowers during summer.

 

Ideal for a variety of culinary dishes or can be used an ornamental shrub in a flower border, rockery or plant into pots and containers.

Sow April - June or year round for inside use

Use leaves in sauces, soups and with meats

 

 

Thyme needs a well drained soil sow direct from April onwards onto a finely raked seed bed and cover the seed sparingly. Thin the seedlings to 30cm apart when they are large enough to handle.

 

Alternatively sow the seed from March into a seed tray and place on a warm window sill transplant the seedling into individual pots to grow on plant out from May onwards or leave in side using as a window sill herb.
