Sweet Vernal Grass Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This upright clump forming perennial grass has fragrant flat linear mid green leaves with maroon tinted white flowers during summer.

A low maintenance grass that is suited to meadow gardens or could be grown in containers.

This grass will spread if planted in flower borders.

A nice dried flower that can be used for indoor arrangements.

Sow March - May

All soil types that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Height 30cm - 60cm

Plant in sun or partial shade

Ideal in containers, meadow, low maintenance, cut flower

Also known as Holy grass

Cut back any dead foliage during spring.

Sow between March - May onto a seed tray of moist compost cover lightly with compost and place on a sunny window sill or in a propagator germinate at 15° - 20°.

When the seedlings are large enough take small clumps of grass and pot on in to individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting them out into their final growing position.

Alternatively sow direct into soil where they are to grow.
