Sweet Pea Welcome Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This eye catching climbing annual has fragrant scarlet red flowers during summer.

Grow them against a trellis, fence or obelisk for eye catching displays.

They make an excellent cut flower.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

When the young plants have 3 - 4 leaves pinch out the tops to encourage bushy growth.

Sow indoors between January - March on a warm window sill or in a propagator grow on and plant out after the risk of frost has passed.

Sow outdoors April - May where they are to grow sowing 2 seeds 10cm apart.

Sow September - October in a cold frame or cool greenhouse for planting out in spring.
