Sweet Pea Old Spice Mixed Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This reliable hardy annual produces large scented flowers in a great mix of colours.

An old fashioned variety that grows on long stems blooming during summer providing a lovely fragrance great for growing against trellis or fences.

They make an excellent cut flower.

Sow January - April or September

Soil loam or sandy soil thats acid alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 25 days.

Flowers June - September

Plant in beds and border against trellis or a wigwam made of canes

Pick the flowers to encourage more flowers to grow

The flowers make great cut flowers in arrangements

Sow indoors between January - April or September on a sunny warm window sill or in a propagator, place 2 seeds into a 9cm pot. Plant out April - May.

Sow outdoors April - May where they are to grow sowing 2 seeds 10cm apart.

Sow September - October 2 seeds into a 9cm pot for planting out in spring.

When the young plants have 3-4 pairs of leaves pinch out the top of the plant.
