Sowing Instructions

 

Autumn Sowing:

For stronger, earlier blooms, sow seeds in pots or trays in autumn. Soak seeds overnight to aid germination before planting in seed compost. Keep in a cool greenhouse or cold frame, then transplant outdoors in spring when the risk of frost has passed.

 

Spring Sowing:

Sow seeds indoors from January to April in seed trays or root trainers. Soak seeds before planting, cover lightly with compost, and keep at 15–18°C. Once seedlings develop, harden off and transplant outdoors in late spring.

 

Direct Sowing:

After the last frost, sow directly into prepared garden soil. Space seeds 2–3 cm deep and 10 cm apart in well-prepared, enriched soil. Provide sturdy supports as plants grow.
