This fetching climbing annual has plenty of highly fragrant large purple flowers that stand on long stems during summer.

Grow against a trellis or a wigwam in a sunny borders.

When the young plants have 3 - 4 leaves pinch out the tops to encourage bushy growth.

Sow indoors between January - March on a sunny window sill or in a propagator grow on and plant out after the risk if frost has passed.

Sow outdoors April - May where they are to grow sowing 2 seeds 10cm apart.

Sow September - October in a cool greenhouse or cold frame ready for planting out in spring.
