Sowing Instructions

Soak seeds for 12 hours before sowing. Sow 1 to 2 cm deep in pots of moist well drained compost. Keep at 12 to 18°C until germinated. Transplant seedlings into individual pots and grow on in cool bright conditions. Harden off and plant out once frosts have passed, providing canes or netting for support.

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water regularly and feed every two weeks with a high potash fertiliser once flowering begins. Tie in stems as they grow and remove faded blooms to prolong flowering. Sweet peas thrive in cool moist soil and benefit from mulching during hot spells.
