Sweet Corn Rising Sun F1 Seeds

A vigorous and early maturing supersweet hybrid bred for cooler climates and shorter growing seasons. Rising Sun F1 produces large, golden-yellow cobs with tightly packed kernels and exceptional sweetness up to twice that of standard varieties.

Sowing instructions

 

Sow seeds 2.5 cm deep in pots or modules indoors from April, keeping compost warm and moist (15–20°C ideal). Harden off and transplant after frost risk has passed, spacing 30 cm apart in blocks. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors in May. Ensure even moisture during germination and early growth.

 

Grow and maintenance

 

Grow in full sun in fertile soil enriched with compost. Water regularly during dry spells, especially when tassels and silks appear. Feed with a high-potassium fertiliser to support cob development. Harvest when silks turn brown and kernels release milky juice when pressed.
