Swede Wilhelmsburger Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This valuable winter vegetable is an old variety with large green and yellow roots with blue green leaves and a firm sweet and tasty creamy yellow flesh.

Stores well after lifting.

Sow April - June

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest September - November

Companion plants Peas, squash, Tomatoes

Do not plant with potatoes or raddish

Leave in the ground until ready to use

A good source of Vitamin C, Potassium and Calcium

Use roasted, mashed or boiled

Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed between April - June in rows 45cm apart and 1.5 cm deep. Cover lightly and keep moist. When the seedlings appear thin to 25 cm apart to grow on.

Sow every few weeks for a continuous crop.
