Sunflower Giant Single Seeds - Irish Plants Direct
These tall easy to grow annuals have very large bright yellow flowers during summer are a favourite with children.
Sunflowers are an excellent choice for encouraging wildlife into the garden.

Sow March - May
Germination time 7-21 days
Height 180cm - 270cm
Plant in full sun
Flowers July - September
Plant in Beds and borders
Children love to grow these plants. Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.
Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where they are to grow space the plants to 30-45cm apart.
Alternatively sow during March on a sunny window sill in pots. Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39-45cm apart.
