An easy to grow plant for the back of a sunny border.

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 40cm apart.

Alternatively sow during March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out 39 - 45cm apart.
