Statice German Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This perennial statice makes a lovely border plant with low-growing dark green leaves from which slender stems erupt displaying panicles of tubular white and pink flowers.

Use as a cut flower or dry for indoor arrangements around the home.

Sow February - April or September - October

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline, or neutral

Germination time 21 - 35 days.

Height 40cm - 60cm

Plant in sun or partial shade.

Flowers June - August

Ideal for beds, borders, wildlife, cottage

Also known as sea lavender

Sow between February - April or September - October on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

Germinate at a temperature of between 18° - 21°.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant 5cm apart into trays or individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their flowering position after all risk of frost has passed.
