Squash Vegetable Spaghetti ORGANIC Seed - Irish Plants Direct

These easy to grow oval shaped squash have pale yellow skins with sweet tasting stringy flesh that resembles spaghetti when cooked.

Bake whole and scoop out the tasty flesh excellent for encouraging children to eat healthy.

Sow March - May

Germination 7 - 21 days

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic or neutral

Harvest July - October

Companion plants Corn, Pumpkins, Nasturtium

Harvest by cutting the fruit off the plant

A good source of A, C, B1 and E

Cook by boiling or baking whole then scoop out the flesh that resembles spaghetti. Use like pasta.

Sow between March - April onwards placing two seeds into pots on their side 1.5 cm deep cover and place on a sunny window sill or propagator.

Keeping moist and remove the weaker seedling and grow on.

When the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom the plants to the outside and plant out leaving 90cm between plants make sure any chance of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outside in Late May 90cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weaker seedling when they emerge.
