Pumpkin Jack O'Lantern ORGANIC Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This high yielding variety produces medium sized orange skinned oval fruits with a sweet tasting orange flesh.

They can be used in a variety of dishes including soups, roast and pies.

Harvest from August onwards.

Sow April - June

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam or sandy soil thats acidic or neutral

Harvest September - October

Companion plants Corn, Squash, Nasturtium

Harvest by cutting the fruit off the plant

Use in soups and pies

Sow from April onwards into pots 1.5 cm deep placing two seeds on their sides leave on a sunny window sill or in a propagator and keep moist.

Remove the weeker seedling and grow on when the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom them to the outside and plant out leaving 70cm between plants when the chance of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outside in June 70cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weaker seedling when they emerge.
