Poppy Somniferum Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow hardy annual has attractive purple single flowers above attractive grey green large leaves during summer.

The seed heads can be left after flowering.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil thats acidic, alkaline or neutral

Ideal for Beds, borders, cottage, wildlife, low maintenance

Sow in a sunny border between March - May or during September to flower the following year into warm moist soil that's been finely raked where they are to flower 6mm deep.

When the seedlings emerge thin them to 25cm apart.
