Pansy Rhinegold Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

An attractive swiss pansy that has large yellow flowers with near black blotches over dark green foliage.

They are great long lasting colour for mixed beds, borders or container displays.

Can be grown as a short lived perennial or biennial.

Sow February - April or July - August

Loam, clay or sand soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 20 days

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between February - March on a sunny window sill or propagator into a seed tray of moist compost, cover the seed 6mm deep with sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants when all risk of frosts have passed and plant out 25cm apart.

Alternatively sow in a cold frame July - August to plant out in autumn to flower the following spring.
