Ornamental Grass Mix Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This mix of annual grasses are an excellent choice for growing in between flowers in mixed borders adding height, movement and structure.

Cut during summer to dry to use in dried flower arrangements.

Seed Qty 0.75gram

Sow March - May

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, all or neutral

Germination time 21 - 35 days

Height 40cm - 80cm

Plant in sun

Flowers June - September

Ideal in beds, borders, containers, gravel, low maintenance, cottage

The seed can be sown thinly directly outside between April - May into finely raked moist soil where they are to grow covering lightly.

When the seedlings emerge thin to about 8cm apart allowing the young plants to grow on where they will flower.

Alternatively sow into a seed tray on a sunny window sill from March.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot on in to individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting them out after the risk of frost has passed.
