Oriental Salad Mixed Leaves Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This quick and easy to grow salad vegetable will provide tangy leaves, they can be left to mature or be picked as baby leaves grow in pots and containers on a sunny patio.

Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest April - October

Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots and radish

Do not plant with cabbage

Use in Salads and sandwiches, stir-fries

Make small successional sowings in fertile well drained soil in a sheltered sunny area fortnightly to ensure a good supply of leaves throughout summer.

Keep well watered during dry spells, they could also be grown on a window sill or in containers on a sunny patio.

Sow indoors all year for baby leaves or outside from late March to August in drills 1.5cm deep and 15cm between rows. When the seedlings appear thin to 15cm apart.
