Germination 14 to 21 days at 15 to 20°C

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly in shallow drills 1 cm deep, spacing rows 20 cm apart. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 3 weeks. Thin seedlings to 5 cm apart when large enough to handle. For a continuous supply, sowings can be staggered every 3 to 4 weeks. Plants will overwinter and provide fresh stems into spring

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water regularly during dry spells to encourage tender growth. Allium fistulosum ‘Lisbon Winter Hardy’ thrives in cool conditions and requires little maintenance once established. Harvest stems when young and crisp, cutting at the base to encourage regrowth. Plants will continue cropping through winter and early spring
