Sowing Instructions

 

Sow indoors from February to April. Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover. Keep at 18 to 22°C until seedlings appear. Transplant when large enough to handle and harden off before planting out in spring. Direct sowing outdoors in prepared soil is also successful.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and mulch lightly to retain soil moisture. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering. Cut back stems after flowering to maintain compact growth. Obedient Plant is hardy and clump-forming, returning reliably each year with tall, colourful spikes.
