Love In A Mist Miss Jekyll Seeds

Miss Jekyll is one of the most popular and reliable varieties of Love- in- a- Mist, producing a long season of blooms followed by decorative seed pods that are excellent for drying.

Sow March to May or August to October directly where they are to flower.

Germination 7–14 days in warm, steady conditions.

Soil and Position Thrives in loam, chalk, or sandy soils; tolerant of acidic, alkaline, or neutral conditions. Prefers full sun in a free draining site.

Height Approx 45 cm; upright, airy habit ideal for borders and cutting gardens.

Flowering July to October with a long season of sky?blue blooms; deadheading prolongs flowering, or allow pods to form for drying.

 

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow thinly 5 mm deep into finely raked, moist soil in spring or autumn. Keep evenly moist until seedlings establish. Thin to 15 cm apart for best effect. For continuous displays, succession sow every 2–3 weeks through spring.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Grow in full sun in free draining soil. Water regularly while establishing, then moderately thereafter. Plants often self seed if pods are left to ripen, returning naturally in following seasons. Support taller stems in exposed sites if needed.
