Liatris Spicata Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This upright clump forming herbaceous perennial has erect spikes of bright pinky purple flowers above green lance shaped leaves.

Grow towards the front of mixed border its a great plant for attracting valuable wildlife into the garden.

Sow February - May

All soil types that are acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 21 - 35 days

Sow between February - May on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into individual pots to grow on.

Plant out into their final flowering position 50cm apart where they are to grow in autumn.
