Lettuce Butterhead Attraction ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This butterhead variety is ideal for early summer cultivation and has large green heads with light green soft tender leaves.

A good variety for cooler weather.

This variety has been awarded by ProSpecieRara as a rare or old variety.

Seed Qty 1.25 gram

Sow February - April

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam - sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest May - July

Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots and radish.

Do not plant with cabbage

Pick the lettuce when they are of a decent size

A good source of vitamin A

Use in Salads and sandwiches

Lettuce does not grow well in acidic soil.

Keep well watered during dry spells, it can be grown on the window sill or in containers on the patio.

Sow between February - April indoors on a sunny window sill onto a tray of moist compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart or individual modules. Gradually harden of the young plants before planting out in April.

Sow during April in drills 1.5cm deep and 15cm between rows. When the seedlings appear thin to 15cm apart.
