Larkspur Dwarf Hyacinth Mixed Seeds

A compact and elegant annual with dense flower spikes in a rich mix of blue, pink, lavender, and white.

 

Dwarf Hyacinth flowered Rocket Larkspur forms upright plants with finely cut foliage and tightly packed blooms that resemble miniature hyacinths. Flowering from early to mid summer, it adds vertical interest and soft colour to borders, cottage gardens, and cutting beds.

 

This easy to grow annual thrives in full sun and well drained soil and is ideal for early summer displays, informal borders, and floral arrangements.

 

It attracts bees and beneficial insects and performs well in both formal and naturalistic planting schemes.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly cover with fine soil or vermiculite. Maintain cool temperatures at 15 to 18°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination usually occurs within 2 to 3 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 20 to 30 cm apart. For direct sowing sow in autumn or early spring where plants are to flower.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering. Larkspur prefers full sun and benefits from cool early season conditions. Suitable for borders cutting gardens and pollinator friendly schemes.
