Gypsophila Babys Breath Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular perennial is a cottage garden favourite with delicate sprays of single and double white pompom flowers on well branching slender stems.

They a good back drop for other flowers perfect for growing in beds and borders.

A favourite for cut flower displays.

Sow March - May

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Loam or chalky soil that's alkaline or neutral

Height 100cm.

Plant in full sun or partial shade

Flowers June - September.

Ideal for beds, borders, cut flower, cottage, wildlife

Cut back after flowering to encore a second flush of flowers

Sow the seed between March - May onto a tray of moist compost covering lightly place on a set window sill or in a propagator.

When the plants are large enough to handle pot into trays 50cm apart or individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants and plant out in the garden when the risk of frost has past.
