French Bean Climbing Monte Gusto Seeds - Irish Plants Direct 
 
This early variety is a tall climbing bean with pale golden yellow pods it produces high yields over a long period of time.
 
The beans could be left to dry and use as shell beans for use over winter in stews, casseroles and various other dishes.
 
A good disease resistant variety. 
 
Seed Qty 10 grams
 
Sow April - June
Germination 7 - 14 days
Loam - sandy soil that is alkaline or neutral 
Harvest June - October
Companion plants Carrots, beetroot, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and cucumber
A good source of vitamin c and fibre
Steam lightly boil or use in salads, suitable for home freezing
 
Sow between April - May into pots or trays on a sunny window sill or in a green house during April covering the seed with 25mm of compost plant out after all chance of frost has passed between 25 - 30cm apart.
 
Alternatively sow direct outside into warm soil 30cm deep and 30cm apart after the risk of frost has passed. 
 
Regular sowing will ensure a continuous supply of beans throughout the summer.
