French Bean Climbing Matilda Seeds - Irish Plants Direct 

 

This vigorous and early maturing french bean has long rounded dark green pods up to 15cm long with a excellent flavour. 

 

Grow against canes, netting and obelisks. 

 

Seed Qty 15 grams

 

Sow between April - May into pots on a sunny window sill or warm green house.

Gradually accustom the young plants to outside planting  out when the risk of frost has passed.

 

Alternatively sow direct into the ground where they are to grow when the risk of frost has passed between May - July 25cm apart leaving 60cm between rows in a sunny position providing canes for the beans to grow against.

 

If space is in short supply they could be grown in the flower border along side flowers and shrubs providing height to the border.
