Feverfew Snowball Seed - Irish Plants Direct

Feverfew Snowball is a charming and compact variety, producing an abundance of delicate, pure white, pompon like flowers with bright yellow centres.

Its finely divided, aromatic green foliage complements the blooms, creating a soft, textured effect in borders, cottage gardens, and wildlife friendly spaces.

A pollinator magnet, these dainty flowers attract bees and butterflies, enhancing biodiversity in the garden. Traditionally valued for its medicinal properties, feverfew has been used in herbal remedies, particularly for headaches and migraines.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds indoors from February to May in seed trays or pots with fine compost. Lightly press the seeds onto the surface without covering, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 18-22°C.

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 20-30 cm apart in a sunny or partially shaded position.

For direct outdoor sowing, scatter seeds in well-prepared soil from April to May or in late summer for blooms the following year. Keep soil moist until seedlings establish.

Feverfew Snowball brings classic elegance to any garden, offering both ornamental beauty and a rich history of herbal use.
