Eyebright Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This annual medicinal herb is perfect for a wildflower or grassland area.

Branching stems bear pretty white flowers that are tinged yellow or purple with a dark centre.

After the flowers fade small flat seed pods are produced containing two seeds.

A traditional Chinese medicine used to make tea's, eye washes or compresses.

Sow March - April or October - November

Loam, chalk or sandy soil

Height 20cm - 30cm

Plant in full sun

Flowers June - September

Planting ideas low maintenance, wildlife, wildflower, grassland area

Sow from March - April or October - November into poor moist soil where they are to grow.

A grass land or wild flower border is perfect.

The seed needs cold weather to break their dormancy.

Mixing the seed with sand will help the distribution.
