Drumstick Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This rosette forming perennial is often grown as an annual the narrow foliage has strong stems that carry globe shaped bright yellow flowers over a long period of time during summer.

They make an excellent cut flower and can be used fresh or dried.

Sow February - June

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 14 days.

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their flowering position 25cm apart after all risk of frost has passed.

Direct sow during May - june into a sunny border where they are to grow.
