Dianthus Carthusian Pink Seeds - Irish Plants Direct
 
This low growing evergreen perennial has spreading grey green foliage with clusters of small fringed magenta pink flowers that stand on very slender stems  during summer. 
 
These colourful plants are ideal edging borders, rockeries providing great groundcover.

Sow February - May or June outside 
Germination time 14 - 28 days
Loam, clay or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Deadhead to prolong flowering trim after flowering
 
Sow between February - June on a warm window sill or in a propagator into a tray of moist compost.
 
When the plants are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart or small pots to grow on.
 
Gradually harden off the plants and plant out when the risk of frost has passed.
 
Alternatively sow outdoors in a seed bed from late spring or early summer planting the small plants into their flowering positions in autumn.
