Dianthus Brilliant Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular hardy evergreen perennial is a cottage garden favourites with lightly scented bright pink flowers that smother dark green foliage.

They are perfect edging borders, rockeries providing great groundcover.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow February - April on a warm window sill or propagator into a tray of moist compost.

When the plants are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart or small pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants and plant out when the risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outdoors in a seed bed between May - july planting the small plants into their flowering positions in autumn.
