Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds outdoors from April to June in a sunny, well-drained position. Plant seeds 2-3 cm deep, spacing them around 30 cm apart. Water gently and keep the soil moist until germination. Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart, allowing the plants plenty of space to spread and grow.

 

For an earlier start, sow seeds indoors from February to April in individual pots filled with compost. Keep the temperature at 18-21°C until germination, then transplant the seedlings outdoors after the last frost, spacing them 30 cm apart.

 

Water regularly and feed with a balanced fertiliser to encourage vigorous growth and a plentiful harvest. Harvest cucumbers when they are firm, dark green, and 20-25 cm long for the best taste and texture.
