Cosmos Sensation Radiance Seeds

A vibrant and eye catching cosmos variety with large daisy shaped blooms in rich rose pink with darker magenta veining and golden centres.

 

Cosmos Sensation Radiance produces masses of vivid flowers held on tall slender stems above finely cut fern like foliage. The airy habit and glowing colour make it ideal for background planting cutting gardens and wildlife borders.

 

This fast growing annual thrives in full sun and well drained soil flowering continuously from midsummer to autumn. It is easy to grow and loved by pollinators adding movement texture and long lasting colour to any planting scheme.

Germination 7 to 14 days at 15 to 20°C

Soil and Position Free draining fertile soil in full sun

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly cover with fine soil or vermiculite. Maintain warmth at 15 to 20°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination usually occurs within 1 to 2 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 40 to 60 cm apart. For direct sowing wait until soil is warm and frost risk has passed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and feed monthly with a balanced fertiliser. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. Cosmos prefers full sun and poor to moderately fertile soil. Suitable for borders cutting gardens and wildlife schemes.
