Cornflower Blue Diadem Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This delightful hardy annual is a summer border favourite with masses of large deep blue double flowers that stand on tall stems throughout summer.

They attract valuable wildlife into the garden and also make a nice cut flower.

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow the seed in a sunny border between March - April in warm moist finely raked soil where they are to flower 5mm deep.

When the seedlings emerge thin them to 10-15cm.

Alternatively sow September to flower the following year.
