Chilli Pepper Hot Devil's Brew Seeds

Chilli Pepper Hot Devil’s Brew is a compact, bushy variety that produces a colourful mix of fleshy fruits with a Scoville rating ranging from 125,000 to 325,000. Each plant bursts with vibrant chillies that ripen through shades of green, orange, and red, delivering intense heat and a rich, fruity undertone.

 

Ideal for Asian, Indian, and Mexican cuisine, these chillies can be harvested green for a milder kick or left to redden for maximum spice. Best grown in a greenhouse or polytunnel, but also suitable for sunny patios and sheltered borders, this variety is a favourite among heat lovers and container growers.

Soil: Loam or sandy; acidic to neutral pH

Sow seeds indoors from February to April in trays or pots filled with moist, free-draining compost. Cover lightly and maintain a temperature of 20–25°C. Germination typically takes 7–10 days. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots and grow on in a warm, bright location.

 

Harden off and plant out after the last frost into containers, greenhouse beds, or sheltered borders, spacing 30 cm apart. Water regularly and feed with a high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins. Harvest fruits by snipping with scissors when fully formed, or allow them to ripen to red for extra heat.
