Chilli Pepper Hot Chilli Shake Seeds

A fiery blend of chilli peppers in diverse shapes, colours, and heat levels ideal for greenhouse growing, outdoor beds, and adventurous cooking.

 

Chilli Pepper Hot Chilli Shake is a vibrant mix of hot pepper varieties ranging from mild to super-hot, offering a spectrum of flavours and appearances. The plants produce fruits in various shapes and colours  red, orange, yellow, and purple making them as ornamental as they are culinary.

 

Best grown under cover for maximum yield, but also suitable for outdoor cultivation in warm, sheltered sites. This blend is perfect for curries, stir-fries, salsas, and drying. Caution: fruits may irritate eyes and skin.

Sow: February – April (indoors)

Germination: 7 – 21 days at 15–20°C

Soil: Fertile, well-drained; loam or sandy; neutral to slightly acidic

Height: 45 – 75 cm

Harvest: July – October

Good Companions: Basil, coriander, tomatoes

Avoid Pairing With: Fennel, brassicas

 

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow thinly indoors from February to April, 0.5 cm deep in trays or pots of moist compost. Maintain 15–20°C and keep moist until germination (7–21 days). Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle.

 

Grow on in cooler, bright conditions and harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost. Space 30–45 cm apart. For best results, grow in a greenhouse or polytunnel. Harvest when fruits reach full colour and desired heat level.
