Chilean Glory Flower - Irish Plants Direct

This exotic looking fast growing climber has wiry stems with sparse dark green foliage.

It is smothered in bright red, orange and yellow tubular flowers during summer.

Although this is a hardy perennial it is often grown as a annual.

Grow against trellis, fences or obelisks.

Seed Qty. 0.5 gram

Sow January - May

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 28 days.

Height 2.5 - 3 metres

Plant in sun or partial shade.

Flowers July - September

Ideal for climbing against fences, pergolas or trees and shrubs.

Cut back in spring.

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their flowering position after all risk of frost has passed.

Sow during May outside.
