Centaury Common Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This delightful wildflower bears clusters of pretty pink flowers on slender stems.

The stalks, stems and flowers can be used to prepare a tea to help aid gastric problems.

February - May

Germination 14 - 28 days

Normal and alkaline well drained soil

Height 20cm - 50cm

Flowers June - September the following year

Grow in beds and borders, wildlife garden and rockeries

A medicinal plant used for gastric problems and indigestion.

Sow thinly between February - May onto a tray of moist compost covering lightly germinate at a temperature of 20° - 25°.

When the seedings are large enough to handle pot into 5cm pots or seed tray 2cm apart to grow on.

Plant into their final flowering position after the risk of frost has passed to flower the following year.

They can be sown direct between April and May where they are to grow.
