This easy to grow variety is almost stringless with pale green stems that have a an excellent flavour and good crunch they stand well in cooler weather and are slow to bolt.

Loam - sandy soil that's alkaline, acidic or neutral

Harvest September - November 

 

Celery is an ideal vegetable to grow if the soil retains moisture and is well fertilised. Keep well watered during dry spells and remove any side shoots that may grow. 

 

Sow the seed in trays 1.5 cm deep from early March  on a sunny window sill. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into individual pots to grow on, gradually harden off the plants and transplant out into moist well fertilised grown from May onwards.
