Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to July in a well-prepared seedbed. Rake soil to a fine tilth and create shallow drills 1 cm deep, spacing rows 25-30 cm apart. Sow thinly and cover lightly with soil. Water gently and keep soil moist until germination occurs.

 

Once seedlings reach 5 cm tall, thin them to 5-7 cm apart to allow proper root development. Keep the bed weed-free and water consistently, especially in dry conditions, to prevent cracking and ensure even colouring.

 

For a continuous supply, sow every 2-3 weeks. Harvest when roots reach full size, pulling carefully to avoid damage.
