Carnation Grenadin Mix Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This cottage garden favourite has a fabulous mix of highly scented large frilly flowers in a variety of colours including various shades of red, pink, white, lilac and yellow many bi coloured.

These hardy perennials stand on strong stems over mounds of neat foliage making them an excellent border and cut flower.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator to give gentle heat into trays of moist compost cover with 5cm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 5cm pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their final flowering position.

Alternatively sow between May - June in a seed bed transplant the young plants to their flowering position in autumn to flower the following year.
