Carnation Chabaud Benigna - Irish Plants Direct 
 
This old fashioned cottage garden favourite has scented  white and raspberry coloured ruffled double flowers that stand on slender stems during summer.
 
A popular annual that could be grown as a perennial in many areas they make an excellent cut flower.

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill, cool greenhouse or cold frame into trays of moist compost cover with 5cm of sieved compost.
 
When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into trays spacing 5cm apart or into individual pots to grow on. 
 
Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their final flowering position.
