Sowing Instructions

 

To start your Canna lilies indoors, sow seeds in pots or seed trays in late winter to early spring. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to help with germination. Fill seed trays with a light, well-drained compost and gently press the seeds into the surface, lightly covering them with compost. Maintain a temperature of 20-25°C for optimal germination.

 

Once the seeds germinate, transplant the seedlings into larger pots when they’re big enough to handle. Hardening off the plants is essential before moving them outside to avoid frost damage. Canna lilies thrive in full sun and need plenty of space to grow. Ensure the soil remains moist but well-drained, and water regularly.
