Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds indoors from February or directly outdoors from April to June in a finely prepared seedbed. Sow thinly in drills 1 cm deep, spacing rows 30 cm apart, and lightly cover with soil. Keep soil consistently moist until germination.

Once seedlings reach 10 cm in height, transplant them to their final growing positions, spacing plants 40-50 cm apart. Ensure the soil is firm and enriched with organic matter to support strong growth.

Harvest when the heads are firm and fully formed, cutting at the base with a sharp knife. Frost enhances the flavour, making late-season cabbages particularly sweet and tender.

Savoy Cabbage ‘Moretta di Verona’ is a flavoursome and visually stunning winter vegetable, bringing texture, nutrition, and gourmet appeal to homegrown meals.
