This popular half hardy annual has a variety of different coloured flowers that bloom above light green foliage throughout summer. 

 

They provide months of bright colour in beds, borders, pots and hanging baskets.

Sow February - April 

 

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator by thinly sowing the seed on top of a small seed tray of moist compost. Cover with cling film until the seedlings emerge then remove, keep the compost moist. 

 

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

 

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
