Broccoli Miranda Seeds - Seeds Irish Plants Direct

Broccoli Miranda is a vigorous and productive variety, known for its dense, medium-sized heads with compact purple florets.

It offers a rich, slightly sweet flavour and a tender texture, making it perfect for steaming, stir-frying, or adding to fresh salads. This variety also produces secondary side shoots after the main head is harvested, extending the cropping period.

Adapted to cooler growing conditions, Broccoli Miranda is slow to bolt and has strong disease resistance, ensuring reliable yields throughout the season.

Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds indoors in trays or modules from March to May, or sow directly outdoors from April to June in well-prepared soil. For indoor sowing, transplant seedlings when they have at least two true leaves, spacing them 45 cm apart in rows 60 cm apart.

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, and mulch around plants to retain soil moisture. Protect young plants from cabbage pests with fine mesh or fleece. Harvest the main head first to encourage the development of side shoots, ensuring an extended harvest.

Broccoli Miranda is a fantastic choice for home gardeners looking for a reliable, high-yielding variety with exceptional flavour and texture.
